Joseph M. Capo
Joseph M. Capo, M.D., F.A.C.S. is an accomplished, Board Certified Otolaryngologist/Head and Neck Surgeon, with over thirty years experience. Dr. Capo began his training at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, followed by a surgical internship at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and residency training at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary/New York Medical College Program in Manhattan. Dr. Capo founded the Ear, Nose and Throat Associates of Nassau County, PC in 1987, and has developed it into a premiere Otolaryngology Head/Neck and Facial Plastic Surgery practice on Long Island. Dr. Capo has extensive training and experience in all aspects of his field, with a special interest in balance disorders paranasal sinus disease and otolaryngic allergy.
Academically, Dr. Capo has lectured extensively to medical students and residents in training. He is a clinical instructor at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and has received multiple teaching awards. Dr. Capo has been involved with numerous research projects including various publications. He also authored a medical textbook chapter on sudden sensorineural hearing loss. He has been elected by his peers as Fellow into the American College of Surgeons. In addition, he has served as Chief of Otolaryngology at both St. Joseph's Hospital, and the former Massapequa General Hospital. Dr. Capo served as President of the Alumni Association at Drexel College of Medicine and is a member of the board of trustees.
